Roger's latest work can be viewed at his studio near Symonds Yat, Herefordshire.
This portrait is based on photographs and article written by Jack Losh in the Guardian in May 2020. Jaston Khosa was one of 600,000 men from African countries who fought for Britain in WW2. He was buried in Lusaka, Zambia on VE Day 2020 after a life of poverty. Having lived and worked in Zambia for several years in the 1980s I felt a strong affinity with his story and knew I had to paint his portrait. You can read more about him here.
New works of art are being created all the time, and this website will reflect this.
